omg that would be the absolutely awesome. when they announced closing this plant here, everyone go all mad, even though they have been talking about it for quite a while. The mayor of okc even made some comments about how "we should of known it wasnt going to last" and talked down to gm, and their products, or something of that nature. it really ticked me off.

 

With 30,000 workers needing to be phased out, any plant on the chopping block would love to get something from GM that means they aren't going to close.

 

That's actually a long-standing dream of mine. I work VERY near the GM plant in OKC (actually Del City, Midwest City?) at TAFB, and can see the property as I drive on the south side of the base. I've joked with the guys at work that it would be cool if just such a thing would happen.
Some representatives here in Oklahoma, one in particular I can't remember, have been fighting like hell to get GM to stay. I've considered it a losing battle, but it would be awesome to be proven wrong, in this case!
Just imagine...... Camaros being built just over the fence from where I work...

 

Bring it back to norwood! I would volunteer in making a new plant. I wish the could have kept the old one.
