HA HA let me get this straight. If it doesnt have an F, its not an "F Body"? Alright Ill bite. That eliminates the 1st gen entirely, then the second gen entirely. In fact, scratch off 3rd gen cars up till 1984
Sooo.. that leaves 1985-92 PORTION of the 3rd gen and the 4th gen as the only real F bodies. Sure, put it in there, but dont try to tell me that charachter which wasnt on most the cars defines a real camaro.

Still, I love how you took what the guy wrote and twisted it into something he didn't actually write - in order to make you look like some sort of authority and justify making a pointless post. If you don't care about the F in vin, then don't sign the petition / blog. Simple.

eh, maybe I could've worded the title better lol.
All I'm thinking is since we've called the cars F-Bodies for so long, having a F in the VIN gives us a little heritage to hold on to.
And I think that'd be pretty neat.

Sorry guys, I just don't get this. This is where enthusiasm turns to insanity. We are getting a new Camaro. We've been asking GM for 4 years and now it is coming. To quibble over a letter in the VIN is CRAZY! There's much more to worry about here. Next are you going to tell them you want a certain sequencing as well? I think at one point if I were in management at GM I would wonder when the Camaro camp is happy. Here's what we are getting: Car named Camaro-true to name, 2-door-true to heritage, V8-true to lineage, affordable price-true to brand. Let's not lobby for something that won't matter. How about another thread about SS vs. Z/28???
