When will we see the magazines full tests of the production car?

I will assume sometime in January or more likely, February when the pilot and exec cars are out there.

You may even see a review here on this site...

IMO, CH11 anyways, is simply breathing room from your creditors and in this case, a way to shed the weight of the UAW. It doesn't mean you stop testing. Now, if your suppliers won't sell you assembly parts, that could push regular production out. My guess in this scenario is the Fed/Congress guarantees payment in the interim (or loans so GM can pay) and production doesn't miss a beat.

Yep. That pretty much says it.

Edmunds Inside Line just reviewed the Pontiac G8 GXP, which is 'kind-of' like an SS Camaro with a football player stapled to the roof, but that is probably as close as we'll get for a while. Here's the link:

Wink

Also, the GXP Nurburgring numbers came out today and according to a report by jalopnik it lapped the 'ring in 8:30, with a GM driver, not a race driver, behind the wheel. Not too bad even with a pro-athlete strapped to the hood, just NOT Tiger Woods!

I believe the GXP tested faster than a Boxster S and a M5!

Lightbulb

Just thought of something, the Pontiac GXP isn't scheduled to go on sale until "early 2009" same as the Camaro, so why is GM making the more expensive GXP available to online magazines for road tests while LS/SS Camaro's, which we have seen several of driving around online in the last few weeks, haven't been officially tested yet? Doesn't make too much sense since the Camaro has a much broader market appeal. Hmm.

Because the Camaro will mostly sell itself whereas the G8 line needs all the help it can get. GM will have to try a lot harder on a GXP G8 to sell than a Camaro.

True. I just wish GM showed a bit more interest in promoting the Camaro. You know besides puting it in a TV show, a major motion picture, and making it official car of SEMA that is. I just want to see it get flogged like the ZR-1 is being flogged and show up every skeptical critic out there, oh and spank the challenger and mustang, severely!
