Exclamation Something very interesting about Pedders and the 2010 Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car...

http://www.insideindianabusiness.com...m.asp?id=40813

Last paragraph...

The Pace Car is equipped with a stock 400 hp 6.2-litre V-8, front and rear Pedders eXtreme Xa Adjustable suspension, an RS appearance package and leather interior with Inferno Orange interior accents. It also features design cues that further enhance the Camaroís head-turning design.
I think that might make Pedders the ONLY aftermarket suspension supplier on a Pace car. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

As the race gets closer I get more excited. It is the first time I'll be attending an Indy 500 and the first time the pace car is on Pedders bits!

Rumors about pace cars being warmed over by the manufacturers is as old as cars used to pace. However I’m not sure that I've ever heard of a aftermarket supplier listed so officially as having altered a production pace car.

You are spot on. It is VERY unusual. We are PROUD to have had a small part with GM on these special automobiles. Those that buy the 200 hundred pace cars will have to Pedderise to be complete.

I think I just died and went to heaven.
