So everyone here pretty much takes what a select few people say as gospel, and it's usually very good info, but how do you know it?

I'm not asking for sources obviously, but are you in the magazine world, engineering, work for an OEM, or what? It's just something that always fascinated me.

FYI, I'm talking about GuionM, Z284Ever, PacerX, etc.

over time, you figure out who has good info, and who is full of it.

 

well obviously, but I've always been kinda curious about what these people do.... are they just hobbyists with good connections, are they in the "biz" you know what I'm getting at.

 

A few do work for GM and one or two write for a mag but for the most part they are hobbyest with good connections

 

I'm just a Camaro enthusiast who's been beating down doors at GM and the media, for the betterment of MY car, for over two decades.

Mostly, these encounters would be annoying to the other party, since I'm usually there to shake up their nicely organized world. But sometimes...I make friends. Good friends.

 

My only connection is a guy who built the preproduction (I guess alpha/ beta) GMT-900 SUVs

He told me some cool stuff last summer, but nothing we didn’t already know or care about.

I pretty much spend too much time in here lurking, reading, asking questions…..

 

My only connections are to the guys on this board that have connections.

 

there's a few other names you can to that list........

after being here for ahwile and watching events unfold, you get a real good feel of who's word you can take to the bank
