edit: holy crap. this scares me. in the rules it says...

I take that as the cost for the base camaro plus the cost of custom paint and options specific for these camaros, Not that the actual MSRP for a base camaro will be 40K.

I really hope you are right...or I have to kick my savings up a notch or two!

POWERFREAK 10-16-2007 10:23 AM

Yeah...if the base model is $40K their not going to sell too many.

MasterZ28 10-16-2007 10:40 AM

I hope i win! I mean, i will win...yes.

TallicA32 10-16-2007 10:50 AM

Remember guys, "within $xxx of a similarly equipped Mustang."

Rob V 10-16-2007 11:02 AM

I'm entered... And I'm crossing my fingers. If all else fails though... I'll still be buying my top dog version. :)

Capn Pete 10-16-2007 11:12 AM

Oh sure ... now that they're going to give away the car for FREE, you guys decide that you want the Bumblebee ;) .....

..... I thought nobody wanted the "Bumblebee" look, 'cause it would be too cliche, or it was too "yellow", or it would be silly having Autobot logos on the steering wheel, etc.??? :p

I've been a big fan of the yellow w/black stripes look ever since ... well, ever since I've seen ANY Camaro with that paint scheme! :D ... but in particular, after seeing the first leaked images of the (Saleen) Bumblebee car :thumb:.

Well, consider me signed up and waiting patiently to take delivery of my Bumblebee!!! :D
(that's right, keep smoking the crack pipe!!!!)

94Camaro_Z_28 10-16-2007 11:21 AM

I'm signed up......now I wait. <Mr. Burns> Excellent </Mr. Burns> :D

jg95z28 10-16-2007 12:11 PM

I never win anything... but of course I signed up. :D

Federal law. You cannot be required to make any purchase in order to be eligible to win a prize.

Anyway, yes, I have to assume that $40,000 price has a lot to do with the custom work done on it. I wonder if it's a V6 or V8? It does say base Camaro after all. C'mon, how could you make the Bumblebee a V6 car?

Where in the ad does it say that it is the "base" model? ;)

In the part of the rules that have been put in bold. ;):p

Silverbullet02ss 10-16-2007 12:57 PM

I like how the drawing is on 01/30/08. "Congrats you won, see you in a year!" LOL I wonder how much extra it would cost to have this delivered with the Megan Fox option?!?!

Probably about $50 downtown....

JasonD 10-16-2007 01:29 PM

I am just going to say this as politely as possible and if you guys choose not to believe it, that will be your choice.

If you think that the base Camaro will be $40,000, you are wrong. Don't worry, that is just blanket sweepstakes "cover your ass" verbage.

Do a search on my name for posts that I have made using the search phrase $500.

4THGEN Z 10-16-2007 01:30 PM

Does the prize include the wheel covers....:p

Fbodfather 10-16-2007 02:33 PM

NO NO NO.......base price of a Camaro will not be $40K!!!

Important to understand a couple of things:

>Sweepstakes laws in some states say we must disclose a value. We don't have a value because we have not announced pricing! Pricing is the last 'battle' if you will. The Camaro -- in order to be successful -- must be in line pricewise with its competition. The number one competitor is..........................Mustang............

z28lovr 10-16-2007 03:01 PM

good to hear, that really worried me. i didnt think they would do that because it would be stupid of them but the way they say that made me think.

AdioSS 10-16-2007 06:32 PM

it really sucks that you don't have to buy the DVD to enter. That could reduce the total number of entries by hundreds of thousands since the DVD is a hit.

Now somebody go edit that post with the address so we don't reduce the chances of winning by thousands more!

krazzycowgirl 10-17-2007 12:30 AM

Scott whats up with this???????????????????????

WARNING: CYBERTRON LAW FORBIDS THESE VEHICLES TO BE EQUIPPED WITH ENERGONPOWERED ALIEN TECHNOLOGY OF ANY SORT. THESE CAMAROS WILL NOT TRANSFORM IN TO 18-FT TALL AUTOBOTS. IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD NOT DO SO IN YOUR PRESENCE (IT GOES AGAINST THE WHOLE "ROBOTS IN DISGUISE" DIRECTIVE THEY LIVE BY)

Come on I want my new Camaro to be a 18 foot tall robot no fair.

Uhmmm.......that's federal law that one does not have to buy anything in order to enter a sweepstakes..........

Shellhead 10-17-2007 12:46 PM

Quick question - can we enter more than once? I tried reading the rules on the site, but got a 404 error.

It worked for me. The answer is no. One entry per household & email address.

FS3800 10-17-2007 01:21 PM

consider me signed up.. i hope you all lose.. well, 2 of u can win.. thats all though

Tricked-Out-Toy 10-17-2007 03:30 PM

Signed up but even if I win I still have to buy a second one for the Miss's

number77 10-17-2007 04:04 PM

Must win.
(77)

Chevycobb 10-17-2007 04:56 PM

they should have done an entry code type thing and do it with a lottery type of drawing. You could get a code in the DVD that you enter in the website, but you could also mail off for an entry code just to cover the "no purchase necessary" stipulation. oh well...too late now. :p

That was what I thought when I bought the dvd today. The form inside the dvd case says that "multiple entrys do not increase your chances to win."

I'll post a pic of me with mine when it is delivered. ;)

colin911 10-17-2007 06:15 PM

Is it M6 or A6? :D

stars1010 10-17-2007 07:24 PM

I'm entered to win!

But I'll prob still put a vert next to it ;)

I agree. Although I am 99% sure BB was an auto for some reason in the movie.

metal 10-18-2007 11:29 AM

Entered.
Wish me luck

Bayer-Z28 10-18-2007 07:26 PM

I saw Transformers for the first time today on DVD (I hate movie theaters)..

OMG that movie is AWESOME!!! My jaw was on the floor!!! Almost to the point to where I was drooling! That was so badass, bumblebee and all... just wow... :D

IntimidatorSS 10-19-2007 12:21 AM

I registered to win as well, I've never been too lucky when it comes to these things, but I figured hey, a small chance but one at least at owning my dream car :D
