well, im signed up to win. it kinda ticks me off that you dont even have to buy the dvd to sign up. anybody can go to the website and sign up. oh well...time to watch the movie:).

edit: holy crap. this scares me. in the rules it says...

Specialty enhancements/design upgrades may not be covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Grand Prize vehicles will not be available for delivery until 2009. Winners must a have valid driver’s license from jurisdiction of residence and proof of insurance to take delivery. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value if the intended prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Each winner will be responsible for all taxes (not limited to federal, state, provincial, local and/or income) on Grand Prize and if a U.S. resident will be required to provide, to Administrator, his/her Social Security number for tax reporting purposes. Administrator will file an IRS Form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service for the fair market value of any prize awarded to a U.S. resident.

I take that as the cost for the base camaro plus the cost of custom paint and options specific for these camaros, Not that the actual MSRP for a base camaro will be 40K.

..... I thought nobody wanted the "Bumblebee" look, 'cause it would be too cliche, or it was too "yellow", or it would be silly having Autobot logos on the steering wheel, etc.??? :p

I've been a big fan of the yellow w/black stripes look ever since ... well, ever since I've seen ANY Camaro with that paint scheme! :D ... but in particular, after seeing the first leaked images of the (Saleen) Bumblebee car :thumb:.

Well, consider me signed up and waiting patiently to take delivery of my Bumblebee!!! :D :lol:

Anyway, yes, I have to assume that $40,000 price has a lot to do with the custom work done on it. I wonder if it's a V6 or V8? It does say base Camaro after all. C'mon, how could you make the Bumblebee a V6 car? :rolleyes:

If you think that the base Camaro will be $40,000, you are wrong. Don't worry, that is just blanket sweepstakes "cover your ass" verbage.

Do a search on my name for posts that I have made using the search phrase $500.

Does the prize include the wheel covers....:p

Important to understand a couple of things:

good to hear, that really worried me. i didnt think they would do that because it would be stupid of them but the way they say that made me think.

it really sucks that you don't have to buy the DVD to enter. That could reduce the total number of entries by hundreds of thousands since the DVD is a hit.

Now somebody go edit that post with the address so we don't reduce the chances of winning by thousands more!

they should have done an entry code type thing and do it with a lottery type of drawing. You could get a code in the DVD that you enter in the website, but you could also mail off for an entry code just to cover the "no purchase necessary" stipulation. oh well...too late now. :p

That was what I thought when I bought the dvd today. The form inside the dvd case says that "multiple entrys do not increase your chances to win."

I'll post a pic of me with mine when it is delivered. ;)

I saw Transformers for the first time today on DVD (I hate movie theaters)..

OMG that movie is AWESOME!!! My jaw was on the floor!!! Almost to the point to where I was drooling! That was so badass, bumblebee and all... just wow... :D :bow:

I registered to win as well, I've never been too lucky when it comes to these things, but I figured hey, a small chance but one at least at owning my dream car :D
