You know that. I know that. But your dealers, if they know it, sure don't act like they do. The only thing that will slow them down is if they are supplied with more cars than they can cordon off on the showroom floor. There's nothing like 3 inches of snow on a car to take the steam out of that argument.

But, demand is going to outstrip supply when they initially go on sale, no matter what you do. They best way to get a decent price on one is to negotiate now - when you buy that Tahoe and gas is at $3.00 Tell them you'd like to be on a list to get one at whatever price you can negotiate.

There were plenty of '05 Mustang GT's around here (DFW), and every one of them that I saw had at least $5k attached to it for the entire first year. They WOULD sell you a V6 at MSRP though.
