Yes, it's a little ridiculous now. They don't wanna be creative and new.

No, it's just what I want. I want a new 60's musclecar.

I'm buying them regardless whether I like retro or not. Just give me a musclecar.

They need even more. Maybe the GTO will be next, GNX, and whatever else they can do.

Now go take a picture of a 68, the lines are close enough. They don't have to be exact, they are inspired by them.

I like the "Camaro" (I haven't seen anything official yet) photos . It seems like a good blend to me, much better IMO than the Mustang and the recented Challenger pics (and I like both of those as well, they are just more retro).

I also think some of you are overly worried about "where do they go from here?" First, be happy if they put it back into production in the first place. Second, there is always somewhere else left to go with the design, after all there was another design after the '69 there will be a design after this one. IMO "heritage" or "retro" does not eleminate the ability to further the design, but instead reaffirms the identity of the car that it may have strayed from over the course of it's life. Just my thought on it.

Where they go from there is a good question. Maybe do a retro car for every Gen LOL.

I have said it many times. It looks very rediculus to have a retro muscle car from each of the big three. It make it seem like the Big 3 can't compete unless they try to rely on the popularity of the cars past and the past of the automaker. Retro is a fad and fads never last and designs that are fads do not stand the test of time.

i don't see a single line that is the same, or even close.

i mean, you may as well say it's a ripoff of an old challenger
I don't think you understand what "retro" is. It does not mean that the design will be exact. Retro design (or retro-modern design) is taking a full design from the past and modernizing it or adding modern design cues to it. That is exactly what the "new" Camaro is, as is the Mustang, T-Bird, GT, and so on. There will be a few new design cues but the bulk of the design is taken from the past. It seems to be as plain as day.
