RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
This will be one of the cars you will want to see at Car Craft for all of us F-Body enthusiasts.
Restore A Muscle Car from Lincoln, NE will be bringing the Banshee to the Twin Cities this weekend. It is a rare opportunity to see a really unique car. It is an excersize in what might have been if Pontiac would have stayed in business. Check it out.

Link to the V8TV - Click Here - show on the car when it was at SEMA last fall.
Should be a fun car to check out!! See you at the show!!

Re: RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
I don't know, it looks to me like GM liked the look. Did you look at the front end of the ZL1 - Pretty much a knock off of the Banshee. So they must have thought it looked pretty nice. They are doing a convertible with more traditional wheels that will be at SEMA 2011.

Re: RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
they look nothing alike other than the fact that theres a lower grill.......
Re: RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
The ZL1 was first shown (at least the basic design of the front facia) in transformers. Press pics of Bumblebee were out around the same time the Camaro started shipping also. So unless these guys were in on BB's design, I'd have to say any similarity in the front ends of the 2 cars (which I dont see at all) would be becuase the banshee people copied the ZL1, not the other way around.

Well, I hope some of you got a chance to see the car and enjoyed Car Craft this year. It was a great show and like the Banshee or not, it is important in this Hobby we all support one-another as it is in collective numbers that we keep the government for legislating us out of existence.
The Design of the Banshee was the collaboration of www.RestoreAMuscleCar.com and www.Hermancedesign.com, a well known Automotive Designer who has done many projects. There are currently about 5 TA conversions out on the market and I think the Banshee is the only one that uses a Modern approach to the design encompassing styling cues from several TA designs throughout the years. If any of you saw the Lingenfelter TA at the show, the two cars were as different as night and day. And that is a good thing. This hobby by definition encourages creativity and individualism.
The grill design in general is a current trend used by manufacturer's across the globe and really probably belongs to no one particular brand. As for the Banshee, the Split Grill is a Pontiac trademark found in many Pontiac Cars, the side venting comes from the '69 TA. Of course the shaker and use of honeycomb accents is synonymous with the Trans AM.
Anyway, keep those custom cars rolling and enjoy the rest of the summer cruising around. Hope to see some of you out on the road. All in all, I think Car Craft was a great success this year and Sunday's weather was outstanding!

Re: RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
I do believe that this is actually one of the best Firebird conversions that have been put out there. I like the fact that they did a modern take on the Firebird instead of the retro versions that most of the time do not work with the Firebird... With that in mind... keep it up and maybe some good photography of it might do wonders... (hint hint)
Re: RAMC 2011 Banshee will be at Car Craft
You are correct on the photography. It looks so much better in person than it does in photos. I am not sure why, but some very good photographers have shot it and it always doesn't do it justice.
I am guessing that the soon to be completed convertible will be much more camera friendly and have a better reaction from people. Time will tell.
The Ring Brothers won the Custom Builders competition with a tricked out Mustang at Car Craft this year - A new competition at the car show. It was an amazing car to say the least. They really put out some over the top machines.
I thought GM did a nice job on their display with a lot of cars and engines. The LSX powered Beach Wagon - Woody Styled retro was quite a machine. Imagine having something like that blow your doors off. Humbling!!
There was a One of One Red Shelby at the show. 67 or 68, I forget, but it had a factory installed Sun Roof. There isn't suppose to be another one anywhere. The car was in perfect shape!!
I also noticed one really nice LS powered Nova that was sporting Bear Brakes along with a ton of other upgrades. There was north of $40k invested in the car. It was really nice.
The number of Modern Challenger's was staggering!! Certainly showing the popularity of those cars!!
We are really lucky Car Craft Sponsors this show in our area bringing many cars we would never get a chance to see if they didn't.

Nope - Just a Car Enthusiast from the Twin Cities. Paid my $48.50 to get in like everyone else.
