Just got back from dropping off my deposit at my local Chevy dealer for a SS. The sales guy told me that he is very sure that he will know prices on Wednesday, 10/8. I asked him if was sure because the pretty solid information we have here says otherwise, not until January. He said he is very confident that he will know on Wednesday...we shall see, but personally I think he is wrong. He has been pretty good with other information in the past couple of weeks though. He knew about the 13th for placing orders, options, etc., so I will see what he says on Wednesday, he is supposed to call me that day. I again asked him about the 13th for placing orders, and he stated that is still definitely the date. BTW, I am #1 on his list and GM reps keep telling him he will at least get 1 or 2 at launch.

I am thinking the same thing, but I just saw on Camaro5 that pricing is going to be available on the 13th between 7 - 8 am central time. All these could be just BS, but maybe there is something to it. Like I said before, I will see what he says on Wednesday when he calls me. Either way my deposit has been placed and I am first on the list for ordering. Now the waiting begins

 

At Indy, John Fitzpatrick said they would try to have pricing for the 13th, but made no promises.

 

It will be nice if they do have prices availible but I won't hold my breath. I suspect GM will want to wait as long as they can to set prices. Particuarly since Ford has yet to annouce prices for the revised Mustang.

 

I have kept up with this site and GM and I work for a dealer and the IDL for the Camaro is not til the 10th ordering the 13th but somehow this guy will know pricing on the
8th I call BS.

 

 

with as much loose lip out there im not doubting that someone may know something and could have possibley slipped and told someone.

 

I haven't heard anything yet, we'll see if we know anything before the day is over. I am guessing that even by Monday we will not know anything official in regards to pricing.

 

i just relized today is the 8th and i would have to say after hearing about the podcast on sundaynight/ early monday morning i would bet that is what we are having to look forward to. pricing will probably be dropped on that pod cast. and that may be what the hype is all about with the order brochure gettign out. it was proabably supposed to have pricing with it?.

 

I know nobody wants to hear this but I was at the meeting in Vegas and though ordering will be available they did say pricing was not going to be released.

 

who said that? and if they arent on the camaro marketing team, i dont know that i would trust their word. yeah people have said the ordering wont be today but i think it might be out on monday, if not then their is some other really big news about the camaro going to be said on the pod cast.

 

I agree. I really think the "big" news is that pricing will be released as well on Monday morning. What other big news could they possibly have? Hopefully that podcast comes up shortly after midnight on Sunday!
