Pre-SEMA Production Announcement
Pre-SEMA Production Announcement

I hadn't seen this mentioned on here yet so hopefully it's not a repost. Making the announcement in the weeks leading up to SEMA seems more plausible than many of the other predictions I've read. Maybe the general is using this time to get a production version ready to make a debut.

Re: Pre-SEMA Production Announcement
Are you freakin kidding me?!?!?! I have never been to SEMA let alone Vegas and this year I'm actually going the weekend of the NHRA National Event at LVMS and will be in town until Nov 1st. I may have to take time out of my busy gambling schedule to stop over at SEMA.
Now how hard is it going to be to convince the boyfriend???

That is becuase the big 3 are getting hurt by everyone else. The best thing they can do is ban together and defeat the Japanese and German invaders.
Re: Pre-SEMA Production Announcement
Smart move. They are bringing all of their cars together, so that when people see them, instead of saying "look at that Camaro" "check out that Challenger" "Wow look at that Mustang" etc. They will say "look at that American muscle."
Its a good way to promote nationalistic feelings. Now only if they do it to the tune of STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER, and have all three cars peeling out, one with standard tires, and the other two with those new tires that make red and blue smoke.

I think everyone is hoping that GM would have a production version at the show, which is why they would want to be there.

If it is going to be released next spring/summer as a 2008 model, then there is a remote possibility. However, I think even if that were the case, the 2007 Detroit Auto Show would be a more logical place to unveil the production version.
I'm guessing were still a year away from seeing the production version... however an announcement could come much sooner than that.

FWIW, the 40th anniversary of the Camaro is this September.
