Unless you find a dealer where nobody (or very few people) have placed an order, I'd say you'd be waiting until summer/fall.

Yeah if you ask the dealer they can tell you how many people have submitted their orders, but its up to them to tell you.

I don't know what you mean. It depends on too many variables - the total allocation for your specific dealer, how many open spots are left, when production actually starts, how quickly the plant ramps up to full production capacity, what options you order with the car..

There is no cutoff.

If you do not get one of a dealer's initial allocations, you will not get your car before July/August. Depends how "late on the purchase" you are. And they will make nowhere near 150,000.

I would expect the first customers to receive their cars by the end of March or the very beginning of April if production in fact starts 2/16. I'm hoping for mine by the end of March since my lease is up 3/27.

good. im the first on the list at my dealer. i guess it doesnt matter how early i get it. im not driving it in the snow if it comes in too early. if it does come early ill get a truck to haul it home.they said it could be possible to start production early if things are going good. hopefully everythign starts going smoothly and they can produce them ea week earlier or so.

You'll be able to walk into any dealer when they come out and buy one off the lot under MSRP is my guess.

he was talking about ordering one, not buying one off a lot.

Dealers will not have lot cars in the beginning (at least they're not supposed to)- hence the "sold orders only" pre-sale. With very few available in the beginning in either case, you will probably have little luck getting one below MSRP. JMO. You want a "lot" car, June or July would be my guess and keep in mind, choices- colors,etc- will be limited as production ramps up.
