Great vid, but sometimes you don't want any stupid music playing in the background.
The Rick Hendrick video is one of them. I would have liked to hear the car, the people,
all of that. Oh well, car looks awsome, RS light package is amazing.

It would be nice if we could all drive our Camaros off the line like that. From what I understand however, GM made an agreement with the dealers that all new cars had to go through them. Customers were not allowed to pick up their cars from the factory.

So Rick gets the first two huh? I wonder if he will show (ie rarely drive) the black one (0001) and use the yellow one (0002) as his daily driver for a while.

thats what i would do. no way would i be driving that black one. put it away and only bring it out for shows. thats probably the reason he bought 2. show one and drive another.

Rick cant take "delivery" either, but for the 300K+ he paid for Vin 1, he got to pull it off the line.

US Customers cant take delivery outside of the US. There are legal issues preventing that.

I'd drive the hell out of both of them.

i would want to, but if i had the money to buy 2 now i would do the same thing. store one for a collector and have one as my every day driver. just like finding any 69 with low miles now. how much would something like that be worth, totally stock and in mint condition? Exactly! it would be worth it in the long run. but i would be tempted to beat the hell out of that car. i would actually buy 2 of the same color.

If you want an investment, there are much better options, even in today's economy. A car takes up space. To keep it mint, you'd have to dress all of the rubber parts periodically, fire the engine up once in a while to keep it oiled, etc. etc. etc.

If having a mint Camaro in your garage has intrinsic value to you, then maybe you can justify it, but don't tell me you're doing it for the money -- that's a mistake.

Cars are not investments. Nothing wrong with keeping them in mint condition, but your not going to retire on one in about 99.9% of all cases. Enjoy the car and don't get all caught up in how much it could be worth. That aspect to me ruins the experience.

i wouldnt do it for the money. i would do it for the fact i would have the car with very low miles and keep it as a collector car. ive decided im starting a car collection and my camaro is goign ot be the first of my collection. it will be driven, im just going to add to the collection every year or 2. i wasnt saying its goign to be an investment piece, necisarily. just that i would get 2 and keep one for show use and in long term it would turn into an investment.

thats why im only buying 1. i woud like to buy 2 and keep one stored away just for the fact of keeping it pure and "new". the one i got im gonna mod and change things. i would liek to have one i could keep stock. maybe ill get a z28,when/if it comes out, and have that as car 2 for my collection, and not mod it.
