This is not a high-volume vehicle for us, by any stretch, but it’s the kind of car that can do wonders for the image of Chevrolet, and of General Motors. I’m proud of the job the team did, and the speed in which they did it, and I can’t wait to see a Camaro sailing down the freeway. At legitimate, posted speeds, of course.
So much for the idea that this needs to be a volume seller for GM.

I think that they need to set some more realistic sales goals for this car and circulate it around the "Tubes".

Why? Because there is no freaking way a two ton Camaro will sell 100K units in this day and age, once initial demand is met. And why is that important? Because if the goal is 100K and Camaro only sells at 60K, the corporate nimrods will say Camaro is a failure and kill any chance of a 6th gen.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm in 6th gen mode already.

I'm not quite there. Although I'd prefer that this Camaro were a little more svelte, I'm in love with this car. I am already planning on selling my other Camaros to make room for it. In the end, I may end up owning more than one. (e.g. RS-SS coupe, RS-LT convertible, Z/28.)

While I have no problem bench racing a future replacement, I'm not ready to throw out the baby with the bathwater.
