I have to say, the 67, 69 and 93 pace cars were really well done. I don't really think this new pace car really pops out like the other 3 I mentioned did.

Im comfortable with this decision since the package just doesn't complement the car like previous versions did.

I'd rather the Daytona 500 car. Much better execution of that kind of paint scheme.

The Corvette pace cars sit on lots for a long time and generally get sold a crazy discounts because who wants a car with a bunch of stickers on it? In fact one dealer was selling them at a discount with an offer to strip all of the stickers off leaving only the stitching on the seats and a small emblem on the front fender that say indy 500. I would say this is a simple business decision that makes sense. It is nice to see GM reevaluate every decision to make sure it makes business sense.

They should have redone the 69 Pace car scheme but made it modern. That package might have sold.

I'd have bought it. A couple years back, on Chevymall there was a die-cast car set of a 1969 Camaro and the Concept done up in white with Hugger Orange/Red stripes. Looks pretty sharp, to the point where I might wait for summit white, get the IOM stripes and IOA interior.

Agreed! I had a 30th Z and thought the 5th gen would look awesome white with orange stripes!!

X2!

I think GM may be making a mistake this time. As ugly as the Indy 500 pace Camaro is, there still is a market for pace car replicas.
