I hear the upcoming next gen Impala is going to have electronic fuel injection.
You know... because GM has begun doing the prototype development work this year with the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars.
Related.... another insider informed me that we will no longer see any Shelby badging on future Mustangs. Instead we will see John Force markings. It seems that his Ford sponsored NHRA team has been readying a new Track Pack that, among other items, consists of a 500ci 6000+hp nitro burner powerplant.
Makes sense to me. I mean, it simply has to be intended for production duty, right? Why else would they possibly have developed such componentry? There simply is no other logical explanation for it.

Wow...nice one. And my response to you is, Chevy works very closely with the corvette racing team on development that they carry over the the production model....dick.

In a similar thread, I posted the bore and stroke dimensions for the C5-R and C6-R programs. Their 7.0 liter engine did not share bore/stroke dimensions with the road going 7.0 engine. Therefore the technology transfer is exceptionally small from a displacment point of view, as the rods, crank, and pistons would not be of the same configuration. I believe the 7.0 race motor was something like 4.22x3.8 (working from memory) while the street engine is 4.125x4.I bet the race 5.5 is something like 4.22x3.

I finally found it.
GT1 Corvette C6.R
GT2 Corvette C6.R
Homologation Model
Corvette Z06
Corvette ZR1
Engine
7.0-liter LS7.R
2009: 6.0-liter LS7.R
2010: 5.5-liter GM V8
Horsepower
590
2009: 470 (-120)
2010: TBD
Torque (lb-ft)
640
2009: 535 (-105)
2010: TBD
Intake Air Restrictor (mm)
30.6
28.6 (-2.0)
Bore diameter (in)
4.180
Same
Crankshaft stroke (in)
3.875
3.32 (-0.555)
Looks like the 4.18 bore has been their standard. Calculating backwards, you get a theoretical stroke of 3.058. However, your dimensions are entirely reasonable, and very well may be correct. To the original point the LS7 was 4.125x4, and the race version was 4.180x3.875. This points to the fact that the race motors rarely equate to what we will eventually see on the street.

Cool stuff!
FWIW a 3.32 stroke is actually a pretty common piece in outlaw dirt cars, sprint cars, cup/grand national ect because a ton of them have 360" limits. With a 4.155 bore it lands the engine size right at 359.XXX. 4.155 is also a pretty nominal bore as well. Heck it is a .030 over bore in quite a few production engines.
4.090 x 3.185 was the answer it appears.

Rumor has it that it is going to be a 5.5l megacharged engine...yeah, even better than supercharged. I can't wait to see what they actually do for it. I assume they'll keep a similar displacement as they have now and just add more technology to it. High revs and low displacement doesn't seem to fit the bill for a Camaro.

--- take just about everything you read about a 6th gen Camaro - write it on a piece of paper - and throw it out.
Tons of conjecture.
Most of it isn't anywhere near accurate.
Now - that said: it's a great time to be a Camaro enthusiast
