I highly doubt that much of the demand is specifically driven by Revenge of the Fallen. I mean, it's not like they've been able to keep up with demand since launch. The fact that the movie is a smash hit doesn't really change much. You could just as easily say "Camaro makes Revenge of the Fallen a smash hit." There are probably more than a few folks who have gone to see this movie specifically for Bumblebee.

I dont know, I think it has more to do with transformers than you might think. Im sure actual owners can attest to this but driving around in the Rental last week was like being a celebrity and the attention wasnt from the "car" guys as much as it was from the Non car ppl. Some had no idea what kind of car it was but knew it was from the movie... Kids especially reconized it from the movie... not that kids are buying cars but I think they may play a roll in helping push a non car guy parent toward it..... Either way, It certially hasnt hurt it!

I have no doubt that recognition by the general public is probably helped by the movie. But even if there was no Revenge of the Fallen GM would be just as behind on orders as they are now. There was 6 years of pent up Camaro demand!

The movie was insane awesome. How about we move those plants and jobs into the U.S. where the car was born and raised? Good thing we're helping the Canadian economy out

Anybody plan on trading their new Camaro in for a Cash for Clunkers car? Ha. What a joke. Check the forum out below to discuss this mess.

Transformers will definitely spike the interests in the new Camaro (as if it needed it).

It made 200 million last week alone, and we all remember what happened after the first "Fast and Furious" movie that came out. Everyone and their brother went out and bought a Honda or Acura and put thousands of dollars into it so they could drive it around the mall with their neon light glowing. Remember that? Transformers will have the same effect on the Camaro.

P.S. Transformers had the best CGI of any movie I have ever seen in my life. The movie was long, but so good that I never checked my bberry for the time during the entire movie.

I'm sure the movie is helping keep interest in the car. At least during this TFan interested party could in theory go out and buy/order a Camaro where they couldn't during the first one.

What is sad it that Bumblebee is a Z28 and you see how this was timed that GM would have announced production of the Z28 right about now had the program kept it's schedule.

That can't be right as we all know most buyers are concerned about the Camaro's weight and size and simply will not buy one. J/K

Seriously, great news! Now if only GM could find a way to tweak the plant for RHD production... (how many hints before GM brass read this and deliver?).

yeah, the factthat that movie is so huge and everyone loves bumblebee definately makes the sales of the camaro go up. people are influenced by what they see and what everyone likes. thats why people are buying the car. chevy would not have advertised in this movie if they didnt think it was going to help with sales. so YES, the movie is helping 100% with the sales.

they would still be backed up on orders sure, but with the movie its thousands and thousands of more orders that are now backing them up. most people have no idea the camaro is back. once the first transformers came out, people notced the car, but didnt know they could get it. now the new ones out and there is a commercial before the movie, saying how people can have thier very own bumblebee, now everyone who see's the movie knows its back. thats over 2 hours of advertising to over millions of people every viewing.

I simply disbelieve that Camaro sales are 100% higher (double what they would be) with Transformers than they would be without Transformers. I shall remain skeptical until I see quantitative proof.

Does it help? Yes, undoubtedly, but double is extremely optimistic.
