Arrow NEWS: First look at 2011 Motion 427 SC Chevrolet Camaro

2011 Motion Phase III 427 SC Camaro - Click above to enlarge

The re-imagined Baldwin Motion Chevrolet Camaro has broken cover, packing 800 horsepower from a supercharged LS7 V8. The first car will go to Joel Rosen, the originator of the Baldwin Motion cars. Rosen's personal car has the top-of-the-line Phase III 427 SC package, and will be shown to the public for the first time April 8-10 at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida.

As pictured, the car isn't quite ready for delivery. Before Rosen takes possession, it'll get wheel center caps, a front spoiler, exhaust extensions and Motion graphics. If 800 horsepower is too much Camaro for you, Motion has slightly less powerful options.

Since my first thought was about the price, I guess I am out.
Looks amazing though.
Wish GM would find a way to bring back the COPO program

I love the old Motion cars, but this just seems like everything else. The sunroof and clear hood look awful. The earlier renderings look a lot more like Motion cars than this does.

I think the car looks awesome. I like the color combination. I do like the design of the ducktail spoiler. I like the fact that it is one piece. The GM design has three pieces like on second gens. However, unlike the second gen I do not like how the endcaps look on the 5th gen. They just kind of looked tacked on. With this design, it is cleaner looking.

I yawn at the supercharged option too. Everyone is going that route. How about the LSx 454 crate engine as the choice of power. Nearly 600hp out of the box!

Don't like the wheels, stripe package, body kit, or colors.

superchargers are getting overused, but at least this one has a bigger engine, everyone else just bolts the supercharger on the stock engine and goes.

not the biggest fan of the color, but its good if you really want to stand out

I love the history of the motion cars, so I resisted as long as I could, but I think I know just the guy for this particular car....

I could have thrown up on the car and come up with a better color combination than that. Why do so many spend so much coming up with a great performing Camaro, then paint it in the most hideous way possible or stick so many decals or plastic pieces on it that its looks like its wearing a Halloween costume? And have they done anything performance wise that hasn't already been done by 50 other houses? This just seems like an uglier version of something someone else (that should be plural, really) did a while ago. I'm getting bored.

Green and gold... they color of money!

What can I say... I have a green Camaro, and I also have a gold Camaro... but I never thought of combining them on one car.

FWIW, green has historically been a significant color for Baldwin Motion cars. I recall seeing a lot of them painted dark green with white stripes back in the day. Perhaps the gold is because this one is going to "Mr. Motion" himself.
