News from Camaro Marketing Manager regarding Transformers DVD contest...

This just in!

One piece of news I believe is already being circulated that I can confirm is Chevrolet's involvement with the upcoming "Transformers" DVD launch. In the DVD, you will find a special insert from Chevrolet. Open the insert and you find a website address to register for a chance to win one of three actual production versions of the Bumblebee Camaro. The website will offer you the opportunity to sign up for information on the upcoming Camaro launch.

The DVD and the website will be available on October 16, 2007. The sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the U.S. and Canada, except in the Province of Quebec, over the age of 18. Make sure you sign up to win a very unique Camaro and for updates on the launch including upcoming Camaro appearances.

Awesome idea!! Talk about keeping the Bumblebee momentum going !

If I understand correctly, it sounds like these will be actual production Camaros, not the converted GTO's that starred in the movie. If they expect to give PRODUCTION Camaros away in a contest that starts this month, I have to wonder when the contest ends......perhaps one year from the beginning?

I'll be very excited to see the contest details in 2 weeks!

Not to spoil the party, but how does one register the car? Does it still have the GTO's VIN numbers? Would be be regiesterd as a kit car? How is the saftey? I dunno, sounds really cool, and MAN those cars look fantastic, but it would be tough to drive one.
I think I would pass out if I won. Wonder if GM would trade me for a Z28 in a few years?

I'm pretty sure the quote says Actual Production Camaros......which is why I said I'm excited about seeing the contest end date.

Won't ever come out on BluRay... Paramount is HD-DVD exclusive.
