Arrow NEWS: Camaro 1LE: Around The Block [Jalopnik Reviews]

Michael Phelps was the undisputed king of the torturous 400-meter individual medley, ready to take his record third straight gold in London this week when he reluctantly had to hand over his crown to America's new ruler of spandex, Ryan Lochte, who thoroughly trounced Phelps. More »

Can anyone confirm this statement?

And the 1LE package can be installed on previous SS models, too.
Seems to me the author is missing something as isn't the differential and transmission also upgraded from the base SS?

I can confirm this statement. This was told to us at the Chevrolet Event for the 1LE.

Can you order a 1LE without a matte black hood and with non-black wheels?

I don't think so. I believe that is all part of the 1LE package.

The matte black hood is just vinyl applied to the standard hood is it not? You could always just remove the "sticker".

Correct.

I'd also like to suggest that we all keep an eye on what Chevy Performance has for the SEMA show.

Re: NEWS: Camaro 1LE: Around The Block [Jalopnik Reviews]

Finally a Camaro I want and they f*ck it up with that ugly *** hood cover and suede steering wheel and shifter, why can't we just order it without the garbage that doesn't do anything but make it look like ***? I guess they are following the Boss example of build an awesome vehicle and then make it so damn ugly half the people who wanted it walk away. Love the rims, love the beefed up parts, short throw from the ZL1, and the NPP exhaust but the appearance stuff looks really bad, like 18 year old pizza delivery boy car bad. Save me some dough and cut out the useless fluff that just adds to the cost and takes away from the car's good looks. I bought a Charger waiting for GM to get their act together and wanting to get a sports car and they finally have what I have been wanting, this is what I am looking for just hoping they get a DI engine in next year and I will be up at the dealership.

Jason & Chris,
Can you guys get a message to the-powers-that-be on the Camaro team?
Can you ask them if they can make a ZL1 convertible, then why can't they make a 1LE convertible?
A 1LE 'vert would be exactly what I'm looking for. I can even forgive the black hood, spoiler, and wheels. Just make a 1LE 'vert.
