New story on MSN(Canadian)
Re: New story on MSN(Canadian)
The Globe and Mail reported that the financing would help to transform the two Oshawa car operations into one leading-edge plant, which would produce 505,000 cars a year, including the reborn Chevrolet Camaro, plus cars for Cadillac and Buick.
GM would first crank out Chevrolet Impala in June 2009, with expected annual sales of 165,000 cars.
Next would be the Camaro in September 2009 with annual sales projected at 100,000 a year, followed by the Cadillac DTS sedan in June 2010 and the Buick Lucerne in October 2010.

It is however about 10 months longer than I was expecting
I was thinking late 2008
It does sound legitimate to me since Oshawa was one of the plants Guy has been talking about for a while. Too bad it’s not Wilmington, there was talk we could see it in early 2008 if it went there for production.
This is also good news for a final official announcement for production from GM. If this news is true then the business case is moving along to be approved.

Re: New story on MSN(Canadian)
I dunno, the article sounds like just another guess to me. Doesnt mention a gto or pontiac sedan...or monte carlo....
Arent GTO and camaro supposed to be released around the same time...?
What about buicks zeta....?

I think that by 2010 the camaro would have cooled down quite a bit and may not get as much attention as if it came out by end of '07 as a '08.This car needs to get out ASAP.

I agree if it waits till 2010...it may be way too late.

Re: New story on MSN(Canadian)
Agewise, there will still be plenty of baby boomers around in 2009 to buy. I do think that it is a little embarrassing if that truly is the earliest that they can get the car out.
dissapointed.....
