The C and D bodies were the big cars. Caprice was a B body. A D body Cadillac or a C body Buick dwarfed the Caprice.

However I think some people making a mountain out of a molehill if the next gen Impala and Camaro actually are built on the same platform. Platform does not equate to overall proportions and certainly does not mean they'd be sister cars. Plus the current Impala is much smaller than previous incarnations. Heck the current Impala is smaller than the 4th gen Camaros.

Where would you take length from? I was under the impression there was no more to take. Mustang which is longer is very compact unless you were to remove the rear seats or trunk.

Maybe its just that ergonomically superior to my 4th gen.
