New Camaro Lover
New Camaro Lover
Whats up guys new to the forum. Well I crossed over kinda, Im a Ford guy. The new Camaro Has got me to jump ship kinda. I just luv muscle cars no matter who makes them, I give respect to power. Well I hope they build this Camaro because I want one BAD. See ford had a good idea with the retro thing but they watered down the production versions and to me personally the new stangs look like ***. The only way they look good is if the are heavily modded, except the Saleen which rocks but is so way overpriced I will never own one.
I like that the Dodge Challenger is coming out and the Camaro. Both Cars nailed it on the head. They kept the lines of the cars the way a muscle car should be with the rear quarter panels coming up a little bit over the back tires, it gives it that mean look. The mustang failed to do that. The only thing Ford did right was put a lot of power in the new ShelbyGT500. Its offical 500HP & 480ftlbs of torque
WOW, but Thats it.. The looks terrible, Vinyl stripes
,small wheels, iron block, 3900lbs
. I hope GM & Dodge dont water down there concept cars. They're perfect thats why people like them. I can see small things like reverse lights, maybe stancce(i hope not), interior, etc.. PLEASE PUT OUT AS MUCH POWER AS THE SHELBY GT500!!

Re: New Camaro Lover
welcome...good to see a converted furd guy. Glad you finally saw the light.
I agree with you on the mustangs...the normal run-of-the-mill 'stangs you see everyday are really boring looking...but done up right, they do look mean (not as mean as the camaro, of coarse).

Re: New Camaro Lover
Welcome! I hear ya on the love for most muscle and/or sports cars. I'm the same. I was real excited about the 'new' Mustang, but now I think I'd have to have a special package to be happy, if I got one.
I kind of like the Challenger, too, even though it's almost an exact copy of it's former self.
But the Camaro is real exciting to me, partly because I really don't know certain things about it. The speculations and 'inside' information have been refreshing, but I'm still waiting to hear any news about mpg, alternative fuels, different techno audio stuff for the inside, and other things I've heard hints at that I've never experienced first-hand. (Like HUD, XM radio, etc...)
I sure hope the production car comes close to the concept.
