Glad to see no wheel hop issues. I must say from all the videos I've seen and heard I like the stock exhaust raspyness. Defiantly a nice little growl in there.

Let the games begin!!!

So we've seen donuts in a (snowy) parking lot, and now the almighty burn-out . What next??

....... I think we need a side-by-side drag race with ______________ (enter your second car of choice for comparison's sake ).

Boring.

Someone in a old RWD Nissan 240 can also stand on the brakes and smoke tire. Hell, I even did that on my Ford Ranger V6 I owned 20 years ago.

Wake me when you get a video of a full blown, tire smoking launch.

I am tired of this attitude, Guy. Must you spoil everyone's fun? You do know that's all burnouts are (unless you're in the box at the drag strip), right?

If the tires are smoking, it wasn't a very good launch. Which do you want to see?

Yeah, Dirtydvl. You should apologize for posting a fun and harmless little video of the new Camaro we've all been waiting years to see. And doing so on a Camaro fan site - what were you thinking!

Im kinda surprised youd say that. I thought it was pretty cool video.

Aside it being pretty cool, it showed no wheel hop, and to me at least, it seems like this rear seems to show more promise than the GTO getrag rear that was a huge quality issue for RWD IRS rears. I think there was even an issue with the CTS.

Also just because its a pet peive after working a drag stip water box for 3 years trying to keep street radials out of my water box. Noone who knows what theyre doing does a tire smoking launch. If youre tires are spinning at launch, youre loosing time. You do a tire smoking burnout on slicks or DOT's to heat them up before launch. If you have street tires non DOT or soft compound, unless youre showing off, you shouldnt be doing a burn out at all before or at launch. On street tires youre only hurting yourself by doing a burn out at all.
