"We're right now working to determine if we can put a viable business plan together for that product, and with some of the work that the Oshawa local has done, they're making Oshawa potentially the manufacturing site for that product,'' Grimaldi said.

Putting together the pieces I've read on C&G and here, the Zeta sedans will probably be made in Oshawa after the W body goes to platform heaven, and Wilmington (vastly under-utilized) was a possibility for the Camaro.

Re: More Oshawa news...
Man does it ever make me twinge seeing the "I wish it was built in the US"
I'd bet you wouldn't hear the same remarks from Canadians if the terms were switched around.
Its not like its being built overseas or something, cmon fellas. (although some down there may think we are )
If anything, its GM wanting the best assembly line for their beloved new product coming for all of the faithful cult members and even for new members. If its the Oshawa plant then big deal, build it there if its going to provide the best facilities. If theres a plant in the US thats better suited, then go there.
We're all car enthusiasts here wanting this car back, let's not have our border be an issue.

I don't think stating our preference over where the Camaro will be built, will become an issue that will make much difference. And no offense to Canadians, but I'd rather it were made here in the U.S. But that's just my preference...

As far as I'm concerned the closer it is to me the better. I would really like to tour the plant when my Camaro comes down the line but I love my current Canadian Camaro so whatever.

Re: More Oshawa news...
I say build it where it will have the strongest business case and the most profit per vehicle. If CAW concessions make it more profitable to build in Canada, go to Canada.
The MOST IMPORTANT THING is that the car be viable, sell well, and no go away again.
