Problem is, aside from NASCAR, how many other race series do they public pay attention to? I prefer road courser racing. People hardly pay attention to the Indy 500 anymore.

 

I think that has to do with the America's collective attention deficiet disorder. NASCAR with its roundy round racing is fast paced and you can watch the whole thing up close from one seat. Try that (even though its better in terms of racing, imo) with road racing. People would get mighty bored wating to see the action every coupla minutes or so. Its also the same with movies and books.

It might be different for folks who weren't raised with an Atari or C64 or nintendo or what have you, but now its all aboutt the action, right here, right now.
