Lets Start Planning for 1,000 F-Bodies at NCM this Year
Scott has always challenged us to get 1,000 F-Bodies out at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY every year and we have always fell short. I believe this is the year, with all the excitement in the air and the fact that the Camaro Concept is actually going to be there, if its going to happen this is the year. So lets start a early campaign, we've got about 7 1/2 months to go.
This years Camaro/Firebird Reunion (I thought it was called INVASION) is September 14-16

nothing I'd like better than to offer parking lot rides in the concept.......but it's a one-off............and that pretty much prohibits that possibility.
.........hmm...on the other hand, it has to be taken out of the museum to be put on a truck...........do I hear a bid for a ride?????
Guys and Gals...........it really bothers me that Mustang can draw 1,000 cars to an event, yet we can't break the 800 -- not to mention 1,000 barrier. (even when the car was still in production.)
I'm really hoping that we can get 1,000 Camaros and Firebirds to the National Corvette Museum in September this year. (and I WILL quit smoking if that happens.........)
We'll bring the concept........you can tour the Corvette Plant.......the Corvette Museum.....drag race, autocross, do a couple of caravans........and best of all, spend time with the best enthusiasts in the world.........

Sounds Like a great deal! I'll start the Bidding out at $100.00. Just one Question though. Will the winners Bid be donated to some Charity or other good cause?
This is the Year to make it out to the Reunion. I was going to do it last year but weaseled out. I put in for my Vacation and am planning on bringing my 2002 Utah Highway Patrol Camaro.
Lets all do our part for the FbodFather and help him stop
smokeing.

Well, I think that I may have to make the trip. This is my 3rd year of F-Body ownership and I think I should make it out to this. Hows lodging in the area?

Yeah we so need to get 1,000 cars this year!
I think "Ride in the concept car from museum to the truck" would make a great item for the Saturday night auction! I'd bid for sure!

I'm going to pull out all the stops to get my people up there this year. I think with the pull of the concept car and the buzz, 1,000 should be very doable.

I've been there every year....and I'll be there again this year.....wonder if we'll need another Summit? 
A TON of $$ could be raised by charging say $20 to get your picture taken actually sitting in the concept......and /or getting a picture of your Camaro parked next to it.
BTW, I'll raise your $100 for the drive from the museum to the truck to $200.00.

Looks like I have a goal for the year now of getting the Berlinetta road worthy for that many miles... WOW! this will be interesting

I would also want one of a staged Traffic Stop. With Scott at the wheel of the concept Camaro.
Its about 1,650 Miles for me from Utah.

I'd love to get my pic taken in the concept. I'd raise the bar on the bid, but I had to rebuild my LT1 and buy a T56 conversion. I WILL be their with both of my fourth gens, possibly one of my thirds if you're lucky
