2SS accounts for 50.26% - 51,306
1SS : 6.92% - 7,060
2LT : 19.98% - 20,392

I thought the 1SS percentage would be way higher. Interesting.

Are those units sold, or units built? Do you have a total count to go along with the percentages?

Why does this surprise you guys?

They're a vocal group, but the guys that want a V8 but don't want the amenities are a rare bunch.

2SS w RS only way to go. Better resale. More features. If you can swing it dont bother with a 1SS.

You mean people don't want to pay $30,000+ for a stripper car? Don't see many 1SS models in people's signature lines here either

Well us stripper guys are normally a lot of talk but usually they don't buy what they ask for. Besides the fact that there really isn't any real weigh advantage going the so called stripper route anymore. GM should let you pick the options you want a la carte like they use to, amazing how everything is supposedly more "consumer oriented" but we have less options now than we did back with the 4th gen.

Good info.

I'd be a 1SS guy if I were to buy a new Camaro. Given that I'm not though, that is...well...just a bunch of talk.

However, there is a very real chance I'll get a 2011 GT around the first of the year. If that happens, it will absolutely be a 300A (base) car with the only option being gears (either 3.55s or 3.73s), so I'll be able to retain my "vocal stripper guy" status in some form or another.

....wait....that REALLY didn't sound right.....

Same here. The guarantee of no backup camera is nice start.

I guess if you are giong to spend $30,000 on a car, then $36,000 isn't much of a stretch. It is nice to see the V6 volume though. That is what is going to keep the Camaro around. And yea, it is probably produced not sold, and probably more V6's are on the dealer lots than V8's too (but still not very many in dealer stock these days).

Disagree. $6000 more (20%) is a substantial increase for more than half of the population.

Sure, but they're a small minority.

I added in the number totals in the original post. Looks like sold numbers.
