Not really any new info given out, but it's cool to see Ed Welburn mention the SS.

He sure does love to talk about the "fuel efficient" base V6.

It makes me wonder if that's all we'll see for the first few months of production.

I don't think we have anything to worry about, just hearing how enthused he is about the car has in some strange way assured me of a great car. I have a hard time believing that pricing will be an issue considering the price of the G8 GT, and IMO that GM is not stupid. If they price this car correct (which they will) it'll sell more than the stang.

Well this seems to be the first real clue about model structure for this car. I think we had very good ideas that a V8 and a V6 and a SS would be offered but somehow it just sounds better when the VP of GM Design says it.

I get the feeling that he's excited about the V6 because GM needs the V6 to be the home run ball. The Camaro doesn't have to be a CAFE liability it can be an asset too.

I think he is very guarded about the interior but wants to make sure people haven't made up their minds on it because of spy pics. With the new spy shots of the black prototype recently taken in FLA and those engineers stating pics could be taken but not of the interior. I think GM knows this is a very touchy subject. I think they tried to push the envelope and want the interior to be well received but want people to see the production version.

From what you can see of the interior from the outside pics of the car, not much as changed.

Well the point is we have seen the layout and the design they went with. I would bet that won't change. What I would imagine we will see for the production car is 100% better fit and finish, better materials, and more colors.

I'm not totally in love with what's been seen in the spy pics but I want to see it in production trim. I think colors and materials will help the style. I can't say I was in love with the 4th Gen's either but I bought 3 of them.

I would be sooooooooooooo pissed!

I already plan on having to "wait out" mark ups, I don't want additional time added to that!
