Interesting poll
You nailed it. The fact that it IS from a non-enthusiast site is also telling. Non-enthusiasts will be the group to make or break this car from a sales/business perspective. In many ways I feel that a contibuting factor in the 4th gen sales slide is that it was too much a pure enthusiasts' car compared to the Mustang. The 4th gens were mostly quicker, faster, stuck better, braked harder, and visually riskier than any Mustang of the era. The Mustang, cockpit, however, was a much pleasanter place to park your butt driving to work every day. Agree at your own risk.
The fact is the majority of drivers don't care for the three cars as a whole. I am suprised some of you are shocked by this.
Fist off to most people cars are just transportation and that is why Toyota and Honda can get away with selling such generic cars for so many years. To most getting there in a affordable and reliable manner is what counts. As long as the car is in offensive they could care less about boring.
We here all think as enthusiast and expect that everyone else thinks the same way.
If coupes and RWD were inportant to the majority we would see 300,000 Mustangs or Camaro's sold.
We all should just be thankful GM has worked to find a way to give us an affordable car that suits our desire.
