There was also a first gen Camaro with a blue stripe (although it wasn't a racing stripe) that paced the Indy 500.

Either way...this paint scheme looks a lot better than the one it had for the Daytona 500

 

Don't know if I agree with that, but I am still happy that the Camaro is a p/c again at Indy.

That means there will be a lot of them driving around Indy the closer it gets to May...I'll have to start carrying a camera with me. I'll definitely get some pics when I'm there for practice and qualifying COME ON MAY 6TH!

Too bad the convertible wasn't ready as white with orange stripes would have been great. Anyone know why neither of the pace cars have had the SS emblem on the rear?

 

I believe they are only making the 2 or 3 actual pace cars and no festival cars.

 

That would suck...there's always Corvette pace cars driving around...it's pretty cool when one pulls up next to you.

 

maybe we can go for 2 pace cars of the same generation again later on
