Wonderful.

Even blueovalnews people had some really nice things to say, and they're ardent Ford folks.

I went searching for pics. and found them on a Mustang board, man what a bunch of bone heads. Most of them were into bashing GM for any reason at all. And almost all that I read was false made up BS about what they called the Crapmaro.

Of course they were...they're nervous. And with good reason to be so.

much like on this board when the '05 mustang came out. There was a LOT of hating going on.Seems like some narrow minded individuals can't seem to deal with supporting ALL american muscle. Why can't we all just get along.

He means that, since the pics are now publicly posted along with a link to this forum, there are going to be alot of shall we say "uninformed" opinions regarding the concept. People who say that GM alienated it's core audience when I cancelled the fbody, without a true understanding of the reasons why it was necessary. People who haven't bought a new camaro and think that it should come with 400hp stock, and cost $23k new. See a few posts above for an idea of what I'm talking about. FYI even though this is my first post, I've lurked here for years, so think I have a solid idea as to what Chrome is referring to.

DCR...thats cool, I was asking if it was directed to me...thats what I was asking, cus if it was I can say that 90% of my posts on Camaroz28.com have been in the 5th gen forum. I have been a contributor to discussions and thoughts ever since the 5th gen forum started.

Yes I also know about all the low posters asking and responding to questions..and are uninformed. I am not in the know but I know enough and who to take seriously and not to. Just didnt want to have a personal attack on the post I made for someone thinking I was not an active participant. and not a 5th gen noob...

I'm not impressed, in fact a little disappointed at the design. However, you can't please them all and besides, at least it doesn't look like the SS concept! If GM finds this worthy enough to dub it "Camaro", then so it is.

With that said, I will be buying.

So if you are not impressed and dissapointed in the design, what makes you want to buy the car? Is it just because it is a Camaro or maybe because of the estimated performance? Just curious.

#########################GM
So you are saying that this looks futuristic?

What it seems that happed was, the designers made a 5th generation car (a new modern design that followed the evolution theme of a Camaro), stared at it for a year, then scrapped it when they saw success of another competitor and decided to cash in on a design trend and cut the Camaro lineage. I would love to have seen what that 5th generation Camaro looked like.

The "Camaro" factor. My parents have always owned at least one, I've owned two (Birds), and my brother owns one. F-bodys are a part of my family history. Fact is, even if it were uglier (my opinion, once again), I would STILL buy. Performance is of little concern to me since I trust GM will continue to keep high performance synonomous with the Camaro name. Besides, my idea of a fast car is anything that does 13s, so I'm not hard to please.
