You think we don't use the shortcuts because we don't know them?

I don't use the shortcuts because I have an appreciation for our language and I don't like seeing it torn to pieces out of pure laziness. What do you save, maybe three or four seconds per post? If it's more than that, go take a typing class.

These days, with the "T9" entry on cell phones (not to mention QWERTY keyboards becoming popular), you can't even use time savings as an excuse on a phone.

For the record... I'm 28. I send and receive a couple hundred text messages a month, and I always use complete sentences with good spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. I know there are lots of people out there that do a lot more texting than I do, but I still contend that they're not saving very much time.

 

JakeRobb, I agree with your post so much that it could've been my own words aside from the fact that I'm 29 instead of 28. At the same time, i think a dead horse is being beaten here.

 

I know what you're saying, but I still see no difference ... if a person claims to have driven one, does it REALLY matter to us whether it was a CTF or a production car, whether we believe them or not?

Obviously, depending on who the lender is, or who the test-pilot is, may make a difference whether the lender lets said test-pilot take the car for a drive or not. But ultimately, I'd say they're either going to let the person take the car or they're not. If they know/trust the person, then why wouldn't they let them take a car ... even if it IS a real production car?!

... maybe YOU wouldn't let someone test drive a non-CTF car, but maybe SOME people would . In this case, I have no reason to doubt the OP. Question his grammar, but don't doubt his claim .

 

ur 28...i'm 19....things have changed since you were once 19 people my age use shortcuts for any and everything....i don't see what's the big deal about this you all act like my life depends on how i write a post on a forum....but i guess you all have nothing better to do than just mess with me and my choice of words....bet your day goes like this....wake up...work(if you work at all)....get on the Computer log on camaroz28.com and find my thread to see if i posted anything back then talk about my recent post....lol das sad.

one thing i know has changed ALOT since i was in high school is that all of my class graduated, passed typing class and english class.

 

This is what I was getting at. It's not the type of car but, rather, the lack of credibility that the OP has based on the way he is perceived that causes people not to believe him. That's a lesson he's got to learn for himself and obviously doesn't want to right now.

I move that this be ended.

 

Come to think of it, I use shortcuts too. I use tho, thru, gonna...stuff like that. But how is driveing a shortcut?

No matter the age, very very few people use shortcuts here because there is no need to. This is a message board that is normally accessed with a full-sized keyboard, and is not a cell phone. That's why people don't care to try to decipher your post.

Thanks for posting the pics but if you want people to be able to easily read about your experiences, you might want to make it so people don't have to struggle to get the point.

There's enough posts in this thread NOT about the car, so perhaps we can get back to that.
