i have seen it in person and IMO it looks just like the pics do. cheap. some soft tough plastic would do wonders for it. that and something better for the gauge surround.

The seats are VERY comfy. I sat in the Jax Show car for about 20 minutes.

there was too many people around the ones in toronto to get that kind of seat time in it. which is a good thing.

not many folks hung around the 2010 mustang (but you couldn't sit in those).

The same in Jax. I was lucky enough to get to go to the VIP Party the night before the show opened to the public. So there was only about 30-40 guests in the whole convention center and most of them were at the free bar. I was sitting in the Camaro all by my lonesome. It was heaven.

IDK but I'm in panama city Florida. The local dealer here told me that the push back was because the 3rd party that was making the door panels went out of business. they had to find someone else. They told me they would have them April 11th, but they where all ready sold but took my name and # and said he would call so i could at least come by and look at them before they where gone.

Wow, thanks for the write up and the pics. Makes me want to buy one. I never thought I'd replace my car but this might the one to replace it with. I want to see some real track times for the car though.

Why compare to cars double the price?

Awesome experience TS. I'm going to agree with most of the points in this thread. Low miles on motor, strict tuning, along with a superior chassis makes everything feel slower.

I have a feeling it will perform like a GTO, and respond even better than one after a tune.

These BIG cars have an M6, but you have to realize its not geared towards performance at all, 5th and 6th are OD's, I had to get used to actually shifting alot, in this much more powerful car than my little SVT focus, where even 5th gear was 1:1 due to dual shafts in the transmission, much more agressive for road racing etc...

The engine always seems to be lugging the tranny around... I'm still not used to it and it's been two months. I think they need more agressive rear gears from the factory to help move their mass around...

I also noticed they use the same strut mount/bearing than the GTO's, which means buying your maro and calling lovells or Pedders immediately for a replacement, possibly...

Well, I've missed out on TWO opportunities to drive a new Camaro so far!!! And of course, the first one was a black, 6-speed, SS!! The second car was a yellow, auto, V6. And the worst part is? My parents got to drive them ... even my mother!?!??!

(my parents' neighbour works at the plant in Oshawa ).

Anyway, I should hopefully be getting my chance soon ... like THIS WEEK maybe?? I hope he brings another 6-speed SS home ... I'll try to take it for a good road test, throw some corners at it, and see how she feels .

However, my Dad's report was that the SS ran like a raped ape ... he said he lugged it down in 4th gear, then hammered on it, and it just started pulling . He even said the auto V6 was surprisingly quick ... even kicked the back end out a little when he punched it . No surprise, for a car with as much HP as a V8 Mustang!!!

i have a 2008 corvette with a 6 speed and this car is so fast, believe me i used to have a 400rwhp 1994 z28 with heads cam the whole 9 yards and no comparison the ls3 just climbs and keeps climbing. i know the camaro will be a lot heavier but you guys will be very pleased. the other day driving home from work an ls1 with aftermarket exhaust and who knows what else pulled along side of me going about 50mph we both punched it and i swear it was embarassing. YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO LOVE THE LS3
