Hello all !!!

Just saying hi to everyone. Im glad to see this forum here ! Good place to share info .

I hope to help out sometime too . I own a 94 Z28 . I have had my motor rebuilt and installed it . Also have rebuilt my own trans .... the 4l60e . So I might be of some help to someone I hope .

I am now trying to do some mods . Such as install headers and maybe new exaust and throttle body . Ran into some issues with headers that I posted in the exaust section.

Glad to be a part of this board !!! Thanks for having me !!!

Tony

No worries. Welcome.

Question on your rebuild. What prompted it?

I had an '97 LT1 Z28 that I sold with over 145K miles on it. Even then, it never burned a drop of oil, and was as strong as it was the day I bought it. The only thing I did to the engine was replace the water pump at 100K and changed oil every 3K miles. Some of the components were junk (changed alternators 3 times, and went through 3 clutches), but save for a manifold vacuum leak (common with all LT1s) the engine seemed like it would outlast the car.

Just curious.

Welcome to the board!

Chose a bit wrong forum to post, but that's okay. I'm sure mods will move this.

Yes, but he probably came here for 5th gen information, so that's acceptable.

Welcome aboard Tony. I have a 95 Z28 with a similar set-up, although I have yet to replace anything other than brakes, tires, fluids and the battery... except now my Bose CD-player has taken a dump... time for a new stereo system!

Had a '94 Z28 with 275k miles and it ran like a charm, just had a little sensor problem when I sold it, kept causing the radiator to overflow.
