Ill give GM the credit for sense to not wait til 2010.

I have a document that shows planned production of certain cars. This document was given to me by a friend who works for mercedes benz and has access to a database that shows car production plans from other manufacters. I told him to look up camaro for me in the GM database. This database is for car companies only.

From what I saw of the document is planned a 2010 production run, but then again dates change I guess or hope!

I was just wondering if anyone else has any documentation or heard anything about 2010 to confirm...........

well, right on the document I have it says "not for public release" and my friend told me not to show anyone or give it out, maybe thats why.

My nameless friend shall remain nameless, and I'm not going to spread this document around.

 

So its what GM is 'releasing' to DCX about its future plans?

 

yes, but how accurate is that?? Atleast it's something in writting on some kind of "official" company database, so I don't know............

According to my friend this database is a common database for many car companies so that they can see each others cars and share info they want to share..........

 

unless it comes from GM consider it unreliable as not even those who work for GM know for sure yet (well most of 'em i'm assuming )

 

if the camaro comes out in 2010 or is built in 2010, my bird will be paid off and ill either be looking at a cobra or challenger, screw the 5th gen.

 

I think if GM tells DCX 2010, OR DCX predicts 2010, you can all but put money on '08.

 

2010 ='s buying a Mustang and screw GM for the rest of my life.

I had him look up challenger to, second quarter 2008 is scheduled launch date!!

It says "All-New (LC23) 2nd Qtr. 2008 low-volume RWD mustang-fighter sport coupe based on LX platform w/ 5.7L/6.1L Hemi V8's, assembled in Brampton Ontario"

Is that we have been hearing for challenger, or is that different???

There's alot more info in there but I don't feel like typing a 10 page report, or having GM sue me, hehe.

 

not 2010 but fall 2006. I wish...This new Camaro need's to be out soon, because if it rolls into town say 2009 I guarantee you there will be a buzz. A very SMALL buzz. Camaro fans and Muscle car fans will embrace this car whenever it want's to appear, but any other audience GM may hope to capture like say G35, 350Z, Supra, RX-8 and S2000 will be gone. I say this because if the new Camaro comes out in 2009 so does a redesigned 350Z,G35,Supra and RX-8 and possible RX-7, a new S2000 in coupe form possibly. Not to mention the new 3 series coupe just hit showrooms. Also the 2009 Mustang will be a much tougher competitor style wise and powerwise in 2009 then now. So buying that new Camaro might not be as easy of a decision as once thought. GM BUILD IT NOW -please 2006 or 2007 would be nice.

 

Sounds like the same document that was circulating almost two-years ago. Also talks about a Buick Roadmaster, correct?

If this is the case, I wouldn't place too much accuracy in it as things have changed in the last two years.
