Re: GTO a GO, and promising Camaro hints
Someone PLEASE Esplain to me! Why is the GTO a go and we haven't even seen one? The Camaro has to be further along. They are both to be Zeta Platform. Yet the GTO is slated for 2008 and the Camaro for 2009!

It sounds like quite a tossup without any specific date being a given

I see your "hooray for heritage" sig. When I think of heritage I think of cars that couldnt touch 14 second ETs and 20mpg.
So go get an '06+ Stang and get with me in my '99 Z28 and we'll talk heritage and whatever money you wanna donate to the Graham's next down payment plan. lol

Actually it's more likely that the Camaro will come out as a 2008 model, and the GTO will return in as a 2009 model. The GTO hasn't been seen in concept or show car form yet, the Camaro has.
According to Lutz's statement the Camaro will make production before the new GTO.

How is the GTO a go and no concept car? Is it the one from 1999?
BTW I woulden't say the new Camaro's taillight's will leave your eye's burned if your driving a new stang. The 2009 Mustang WILL have over 340 plus h.p. and close to 380 t.q. if not more. Not to mention it is being lightened and getting some major refinement's in the engine department. Current mustang's can beat quite a few Camaro's.

While that's quite obvious, that the LS1 Camaro's stock will alway's beat a Mustang GT stock. A 5.7 vs. 4.6 or 5.0. The LS-1 is a Corvette motor in a Camaro. 350 h.p.+ vs. 260 +. I never said the Mustang GT's that beat the Camaro's were stock. 03-04 Cobra's will do some major damage on Ls1's. I can beat quite a few Camaro's with my Mustang GT. Anyway, I don't care all that much which car is better, as long as their American, and have a great sound that import's can't replicate.

Re: GTO a GO, and promising Camaro hints
Besides, I wan't a New Camaro when it comes out anyway, I just like an American Muscle car that's intimidating, loud and fast. FORD,GM and Dodge all offer this and that's why I like American Muscle in the first place.
