Nope. I always reset the trip odometer so I can calculate easily.

I was at 191.? miles and it took 10.05 gallons (yeah, I was on Empty, it's only a 10 gallon tank. LOL). So that doesn't even take any math...

LOL No. There's no use having a heavy foot in the Aveo. Floor it, or barely tap it.. It's all the same. putputputputputputputputput

I should say that the majority of my driving is City. But 19 is still inexcusable.

Remeber the Cormaro? It was a C5 chasis with an altered Camaro body on it. It was the 1st "streetable" test C5 chasis the engineers put together for testing.
Yea those were some funny looking Camaro's we had a GM powertrain engineer living close to my home back in '95-'96 and he brought several of them home while in development. I remeber thinking why does that engine sound so hollow and higher toned, it was my first earful of LS1 at low rumble. Quite a bit different than the LT1.

Intake and exhaust on the aveo and I never get under 33 mpg. Thats mostly highway, and at least 60 miles of my 90 mile commute is at 80 mph+. I can hit 40 mpg when I take it easy the whole way to work and back. But even when I fill it up after a weekend of driving city, its never under 33. Tune it up and drive it right. I have 83,000 on my '05 and couldnt be happier with it.

Edit: And its a 11.9 gallon tank. Ive put 12.3 gallons in it before.

Everything I have states it's a 10 gallon tank...

The one time I had a lot of highway driving on it I got an average of 26mpg. But that was it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'drive it right' since I dont' have a heavy foot, nor am I speeder. I live 4 miles from work, so I don't even have a chance to... (And, yes I understand such short distances contribute to the horrible gas mileage. But 19 is still exceptionally horrible.)

Oh, and I have less than 13,000 miles on it btw.

All in all, the Aveo is an 'ok' car for grocery getting. But I admit I am sick of it. Stuck with it for 2+ more years though. Ugh. I rarely admit my mistakes ('cause I rarely make them lol), but trading the 2002 Camaro for the 'practical' car was a huge mistake. Practicality be damned.

I feel your pain. I sold my 02 Z and bought a 96 Explorer with cash left over. Its more practical and slightly worse on gas but not a day goes by that I don't miss the F-body. So thats why I save money and spend time here so that the long wait for 2009 can be handled.

"Oh, it'll have a Chevrolet badge and it'll be called Camaro. People in Australia know what this car is. You only have to look at the muscle car magazines to see the interest in the classic Camaros."
I wish we could return the favor. Pontiac Commodore sounds better than G8. Some Americans know what a Commodore is...

I can't say I care for the name 'Commodore' for a car. Grand Prix and Bonneville both sound much better.

'Commodore' brings back memories of the ancient Commodore 64 computers from the 80's.
