Actually, those aren't stock...stock badge is chrome. Alot of guys put the red one on because it "means performance," like the mid 90's Monte Z34's had red badges (chrome for LS), and the LT1 Camaro's too...

I HATE Gold!!! I cant' stand freaking gold Bowties!!! My Xtreme got swapped for a billet one then later for a black with red outline SS one and all the other Bowties were painted red. If my 02 had gold Bowties they'd be painted as well. Replacing the gold Bowtie on my 5th gen will be one of my first mods.

i dont have a problem with the gold bowties, but the fact that said that the corvette will wear a bowtie (no matter what the color) front and center really makes me think that this cant be right, has the corvette ever had a bowtie?
