GM reportedly mentions Z28 and Camaro changes
Automotive Lease Guide (pretty much the industry standard) calculates residual values at a new car's release and adjusted accordingly six times a year. Camaro's were just revised upwards in March:
"According to Automotive Lease Guide (ALG) – a leading provider of residual value information – the Camaro’s residual value, which is an indication of resale value, is now among the highest in the segment. ALG recently upgraded its residual value forecast for the car – the second such upgrade in the past three months."

Automotive Lease Guide has already calculated residuals for the 2011 Mustang. You can find them in this month's newsletter:

I suspect we'll see Camaros come up for lease pretty soon. Maybe when the 2011 models go on sale.[/QUOTE]
I've seen folks that have both GMAC and U.S. Bank leases on Camaros. There might not be any programs, but you can usually get a dealer to at least bid a lease for you. They may not want to, but usually can.
By the time the Z28 comes out the C7 will be out and will be a "much" better buy than a Z28...sure, the C7 would have to be a base model as far as price goes compared to the Z28, but I would take that in a heartbeat compared to a loaded Z28!
Can I borrow your time machine?
your probably right. the c7 is supposed to be a pretty bad *** little car. smaller, lighter, and i think more power. plus they might do a ttv6(what ive read). that may take away some sales, but it comes down to what you like. 2 totally different cars. its like buying a 911 turbo or a gt3. what would you want? one has back seats and the other doesnt. both pretty similar on the track.

The current base LS3 6th Gen Vette is likely going to be more than a match for a 5th Gen Camaro Z28 on everything but the drag strip. Even then it will be close. We don't even need to talk about a Gen V powered 7th Gen Corvette.
4100lbs?! are you part of the design team? how do you know these specs? is the 4100lbs cts-v good around the track?last i heard it was the fastest sedan in the world.......
People were riddled with shock and disbelief too, when I said the V8 Camaro would weigh 3850 pounds.
