And before the rumors start flying, the facts are...
Someone needs to make sure this gets posted on all the threads about this, so people don't take it beyond the facts. There's already too much false information about the car being canceled.
"The change in the date is the result of our efforts to ensure the Camaro exceeds the highest quality benchmarks established by GM for a new product. This re-timing is NOT the result of current business conditions, or any pending legal matters."
"...The good news is that this additional time will ensure a great car from the start and exceed your expectations."

When did you order? Even on the old schedule, hardly anyone was going to have their car that early.

Suffice it to say that it was possible that you'd get your car around then, but highly unlikely. On the new schedule, I'd say pretty much no chance. There's a better chance that it will at least be built by then, but odds are you still won't have it yet.

Jason is correct that is the reason John Fitzpatrick gave today. But any delay is not good at this point.
On the abl front it was confirmed today that do not have it right or know if it will be available at launch. We should now by late Feb. This they say is do to the fact that it’s not exactly how they want o look and operate.
Dealers will be guaranteed at least "2" camaros for the first six months which include of an order unit and one of four lt camaros. Who gets what will be decided in this way " 70% on new units sold 30% by number of mustangs registered in the area where the dealer is"
John also said, (as a response to a question) that they will try to get all sold orders out before the end of the model year.
'm sure there is more that I am forgetting so just ask me and I will tell you all I know. It just escapes me at the moment.
Oh One cool thing is that the aux power we are all used to ( when you turn of the car and the radio and windows continue to work) Well it can be turned on by just pressing the radio button. So your car if off you are sitting in it push radio button and all electrics in car light up and work. No need to put key in and put to aux position.
almost forgot they are also figuring out if they could apply more stips in the factory vs dealer installed. on the candace front:secondary suplliers already up to speed so no issue there.
