Folding Rear Seat in 5th GEN?

What are the chances that the 5th gen has a folding rear seat? I'd like to be able to put my bicycle in there- wouldn't want to put a rack on this car. I'm currently driving a 2-door Grand Prix GTP and I can fit the bike in the trunk with the wheels off, but I doubt the camaro's trunk would be big enough without the rear seat folding.

I don't see why adding a folding seat would be hard. Just a hindge and a lever. Definattly a nice thing to have in a car.

... Then again maybe there is room for a 2 seater Firebird/Banshee down the road after all with something to actually distinguish it.

Not a bad idea. I have a '93 Z28 and a lot of things changed in the '94+ models. Same with the recent GTO; first year had the LS1 and the second year came with the LS2. Rumor is the 'top dog' Camaro will come out the second year, so I'll most likely be waiting a year with you.

I definetly want my back seat. Out with the guys and pick up a girl(s), i always put 1 in the passenger seat up front, so the guys get bumped to the back. Complain complain complain...but still bumped to the back.
Besides, now and again i squeeze a girl back their with them so its all good.

A folding back seat would be a good option though.

Folding rear seat is a MUST have. There is no excuse to not have it. The car is supposed to be daily liveable right? Some people have to use the trunk, I use mine thats for sure.

The back seat is where I spent loving my Dad's 87. It got better when I got to sit up front, but the back seat is where I sat.
Back seat is a must, and the folding down is also a must. This car needs to be flexable.

you'd be surprised how often my friends are forced into using the sorry excuse for a backseat in my car.. it works for short trips..

i definately think it's a great idea to have a split folding back seat... are you listening Scott?

I don't have a problem with the back seat at all. Make it a fold down. Since this will be the first Camaro since 69 that you could actually see out of the back seat. For those poor unfortunate chumps that have to sit back there at least they will finally have a view of something other than a b pillar.
