It's impressive to me that the V6 RS runs and sounds as great as it does. The 1/4 Mile run at 14.2 @99 is getting very close to where my '97 A4 Z ran in stock trim.
The handling is also surprising. Pulling a .89G on the skid pad and 68.2 mph on the slalom. Not only are those great numbers for the Camaro but the car looks more planted and settled than the SS. I'm sure no doubt to it being a bit lighter on it's feet.

And it does it all with the sound that rivals the Nissan VQ engine.

I'm thinking the performance of essentially the base Camaro is sure to draw more people into the enthusiast category. This will be good for all of us interested in this car and the breed.

 

i know some guys have not been pleased with the sound of the V6 because it doesn't sound muscular enough, and i agree it sounds very much like the nissan VQ engines and wouldn't be surprised if this car draws in more of the younger crowd that would be attracted to the 350Z's and what not

i think its a homerun
