That is awesome. I guess it is all who you know.........I been reading everything on this site since 02 and only seen pictures in magazines and online.

How many GM cars today get that kind of public adulation? Not even the mighty Corvette... unless I'm waaaay out of touch.

Here's 1 Times Square thru the windshield of a 5th gen. That little blue dot on top of the building is the infamous New Years "ball"

BTW great pics of the yellow SS you drove. How did that come to be?

Actually - a different Silver SS (and they are both 2SSs without RS.)
(a 1SS would have a cloth interior and no console gauges.....)

Our North East Communications staff has a couple of Camaros -- the Silver one in the Jalopnik article is one of them. I brought another along for additional press coverage -- for instance, Fox News had a video shoot and interview at 7am on Wednesday morning -- I would have had to pull a Camaro off the floor at Javits -- was not willing to do that...

As we drove thru Manhattan, we passed a Red RS a couple of times.......
