Does this mean 2009 Trans Am??????

I have heard nothing of a 5th gen Pontiac T/A. Does anyone know if this is a possibility? We can't have a million Camaro's in every neighborhood. We gotta split it up with some Pontiac's don't you think?

I didn't notice the forum at the top of the page that talks about it. But if you have a comment or thought about it start typing.

no, there will be no Trans Am.
That is unless the Camaro is a grand slam, and they sell 150k of them for the first few years, then I'd say its a possibility, but still highly unlikely.

Naaaa, won't see it anytime soon. Maybe in another couple years, but for now the GTO will be the Camaro's Pontiac cousin.

I thought the GTO's last year was '06. I guess they finally started selling.

This is the last year is the last of the 'current' GTO's to be sold. But AFAIK, they planned to bring one back on a new platform along side the Camaro all along.

If you run a search on "Trans Am" you'll find hundreds of threads where this has been discussed and debated over and over and over and over again.

Here's a good one: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=453914

Read what guionM and Fbodfather say. That basically sums up the answer to your question.

No. No Firebird.

GTO will be on the Zeta chassis, along with the replacements for the Impala, Grand Prix, and Monte Carlo (if the MC even survives).

everybody who complains about it, tough luck. It's not coming back - at least not in 2009.

It's amazing how many exciting vehicles GM churns out....as if what they have now wasn't already better than most other companies IMO, we get 3-4 new cars!

Trans Am is dead and not coming back.
Firebird is dead and if it does come back wont be as a Camaro twin.
