Do you NEED to be seen in your Camaro? After I got over the knee jerk reaction, I came to the reality that I am that vein and do want to be seen at time in the car from time to time. Id love to cruise around with all 4 windows down. At the same time however if I can work out a base V8 car, the first thing Im doing is 20% tint. In the summer I have the AC and windows up and in the winter I have the heat and windows up. What I do want is a car to turn heads and be associated with that car. Just as bad as I want to be proud of owning the car myself, I want someone to want to walk around the car and tell me what they like about it whether I was in it or not, the way my 69 did. I want a rolling peice of Automotive art.

I shouldnt have put regaurdless of whether they know its yours in the second choice because thats not what I meant but I was trying to differentiate them. What I meant was they knew it was yours but you didnt have to be in it...

)What about just buying a new car because you want something no one has torn up and has a new factory warranty
I'll probably be getting a Malibu MAXX in the next few weeks and could really care less if I'm seen in it... I'd rather be noticed driving a supercharged Regal (not that anyone ever notices
) than the MAXX.

My Uncle rented an aveo when he come to visit. I thought it was good lil car...but yea I drove it around quite a bit I really didnt care.
On topic of the camaro.....I love to have people see me driving around in my camaro.

)A few years ago I had to drive my friends 1989 Chevy Celebrity with horribly flaking/missing paint down the hood/roof/trunklid. And I'd slink down into the seat when I was sitting at a light. But it was a good car for the year he had it considering he only paid $400.

I would definately like to be seen in a cool car like that so I guess Im part of what hes talking about. I definately want the car to turn heads, but at the same time I dont mind if Im not in it when it does. I want people to know I own it, but am perfectly happy showing off my car walking around it wherever I am. Id want to tint the side windows, and you wouldnt be able to see in unless I rolled them down. I am a little surprised at the results but if I worded this thing even halfway decent which Im not sure I have, I guess I proved Scott right.
Its something Ive wanted to ask for a while.

I'm fairly vain as well, I'd love for people to see me in the car and then wish it was them. (if they're hot, they could take a ride in the passenger seat...and then the back seat) But moreover, I want the car because I think it's badass.
