Do you plan to buy a ZL1?

Assumptions:

1. It will have everything that is stated to date.
2. It will not be 200 lbs heavier than the current 2010-2011 Camaro SS
3. It will be between $40,000 and $50,000 USD (sticker price, not including dealer markup...which should be avoided...taxes, etc.)

 

Count me in. I'm buying one. Gotta finish paying off the wifes SRX and my Cobalt but this is the car I have been saving for. I'm impressed.

 

You nailed my situation Jason.

(a) Wife says I need to sell at least one of my three Camaros, possibly two.
(b) I'm in line for two-possible promotions, if I get one of them, 90% chance I'll get a ZL1, provided (a) happens, and its priced under $50k.

Alternative scenario: purchase a used 2010-11 RS and upgrade later to either a used ZL1 or a 2013* Camaro Z/28.

*note: 2013 will be the 45th anniversary of Mark Donohue's historic Trans Am championship when he won 10 of 13 races in the Penske/Sunoco Camaro Z/28.

 

I can barely afford the 2SS I have now.

 

I would LOVE to buy one....

but.. then again..

my SS was a pre-order camaro, picked it up exactly how I wanted it, my 1st brand new car...

I kind of want to keep this one for a long long time.... if i could afford both... you bet your behind I would buy it thought...

 

I wish I had the cash. Maybe they will have volt-like lease prices?

Same here. Rogue is my baby and I am not sure I can give her up anytime soon.

I also hesitate because that is a LOT of power. I don't get on the race track and while I get they designed it for everyday driving too I am not sure I can justify having that much under the hood to go to Target.

i am in between 2 of the choices. i do plan on getting another camaro after my SS is paid off, but i plan on keeping my SS. but i also want, what i hope will be, the Z28. as long as it is similar to the boss 302. essentially a street legal track car. i will probably wait for the 6th gen alpha platform also.

 

Ok, I'll grant you that - Maybe I should have added without getting tickets and being the sole funder of the GPD annual budget...

Voted no. OnStar is the deal-breaker.
I would be VERY interested if I could get it without OnStar, only 200lbs heavier than the SS, and cost low to mid 40s.

 

^ Yeah, I wish that was an option too. I got into the rental once and went to move the mirror and accidentally called. I don't need it.
