Colors????
Colors????
Seeings how the road is infested with Silver and "Blah" colored (any metalic shade of browns, tan, gold ect...) cars on the road. I worry that the new Camaro will come in these boring, droll colors. Muscle cars and Pony cars should be either Black, White, Blue, Red (not Burgundy) Yellow, Orange, Purple or even some shades of Green. So the question at hand is, if you could go to your local Chevy dealer today and order your Camaro, what color would you wish for??
Re: Colors????
Gold boring?
Them is fightin' words, bub!

Personally I think the metallic silvers, golds and tans look classy and modern.
However, I'd mostly go for a shade of blue, red or green.

Re: Colors????
hey nothing personal. Gold is very nice....in jewelry. Haven't you noticed the trend over the past several years to go to more neutral colors like silver and blah? I read somewhere that about 70% of all new cars sold are either Silver or Blah. With the resurgence of 60's car designs, I think it only fitting to bring back the vibrant colors of that period.
Re: Colors????
I think the car needs wild and subdued colors - you can pick what kind of Camaro you want that way. i.e. my Light Pewter Metallic almost looks classy. But the same year they had Hugger Orange, which just looks Baaaaaad (particularly as an SS with chrome wheels), in a trashy, flashy sort of way.
I think Dark Red/Maroon, Millenium Yellow, Polo Green, Hugger Orange, Light Pewter Metallic, Medium Quasar Blue, a dark metallic purple, Spiral Grey Metallic, navy blue metallic, and of course Onyx Black, Speedway White, and bright red would be good colors. I'd like to see one like they did in 97 - orange and white with a houndstooth check interior

Re: Colors????
The car needs a variety of colors y'all-- remember-- it has to appeal to a WIDE group of buyers-- the colors that de-sportify the car are preferable to a lot of the less-adventurous V-6 buyers-- so don't expect a "bold colors only" C6 Corvette palette.. diversity is good, right?
That said, My C5 was Navy Blue Metallic, and I thought it was about the sexiest, classiest color I've ever owned. My 98 Camaro was Sebring Silver, which was also pretty classy looking... but
What will I buy this one in?
For the first time in my life, (and mostly because of a photoshop job I saw on here), I am seriously considering a Black car--
jeebus, that was an awesome look... Unless another color really grabs me, I think I'm gonna hafta go with the glassy sexiness of a black Z/28-- pain-in-the-*** cleaning issues and all...
cheers

Re: Colors????
I think the two best looking non-white/black/red 4th gen colors were Navy Blue Metallic, and Sunset Orange Metallic. Those cars made an impact to people who knew what they were looking at, without the "HEY! LOOK AT ME!" of the hugger orange...
Still, if its availible, hugger orange for me...
