YEP....It's been killing me trying to find these items in the local stores.....ordered all of this last Thursday and it was here today. I just wish I had enough batteries to get the R/C out and play with it.

No sidemarkers being the giveaway?

Geeze, if only these came north of the 49th sooner than later. I'm still waiting on my AMT Camaros to come in the mail and die-casts when they finally show up at Wallies. Nice to see the comparison though.

I've got the camaro collection down to a science. I have so many cars that I have to keep an Excel spreadsheet to track my collection. I've got about 125 different die cast cars of all sizes as well as several posters, ~10 camaro t shirts, a laser cut license tag, tin signs and all sorts of other stuff. I just was wondering why so many multis unless they're going to be gifted or so you can play with one and box the other.

I'd say the marker lights in the grill and the obvious different styling from a 69 would be the biggest giveaway. There's no mistaking a 67 or 8 for a 69 if you ask me. Even though they're technically both first generations, they are two different cars to me.

Fenders and quarters were different too. I think the 67 was the only one with a vent glass in the side window right?

Correct, you can always tell a 67 by the vent windows, 68 and 69 did not have them.

You can also go by parking lights.
67 - round in grille
68 - rectangle in grille
69 - round under grille

With hideaway lights the 67 and 68 moved them to right under the bumper (both look the same and were rectangular, so revert to vent glass), but 69 had the same place with or without hideaway lights.

A little overkill with the pictures, methinks.

There are a dozen differences.

The biggest being the recessed grill on the sides and comes to more of a point in the center of the 69. 69 Headlights arent against the sides like on 67/8. 67/8 the grille is almost flat by comparison. The 69 has shark gills in front of the rear tires like the concept. What stands out on the model here also is the Vent Glass in the door. only 67 Camaros have those. As mentioned the 67 turn signals are round and in the grille. The 68 are square but in the same place. The 69 turn signals are in the sheet metal below the opening. The tail lights of the concept are acutally closer to the 67 or 68, where as the 69s are longer and thinner.

I'm getting pretty frustrated looking for the 1/18th & the model. I got VERY lucky finding the R/C 3 weeks ago, FINALLY got the Hot Wheels 2 days ago, but no big die cast is driving me (and my wife!) nuts!

I'll probably break down and order them myself before too long.

...........get the batteries for the R/C. I think it actually looks better when it's in motion .
