That's true, but it still feels like a weak effort. They should have, at the very least, continued the stripes. I can understand the reasoning for not changing the hood, the front and rear facias, or even using the right color, but the stripes wouldn't have been that expensive of a change and would have actually differentiated the car from the rest of the rally yellow with black stripe F5s.

They should have included the bumblebee air freshener too.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

>it is not a 'Bumblebee Edition" -- it is a 'Transformers Edition" -- there's a difference.

>"Sunrise Shimrin" paint -- for materials alone (...and I know this because we've painted a couple of them...) is a couple of thousand dollars.......plus it's a multi-step process that cannot be done at Oshawa -- or any other normal assembly plant.

>This Edition will probably not appeal to a Camaro Enthusiast -- it is meant to appeal to a different buyer that may have never thought about Camaro....and that's a good thing because we appeal to a wider audience and sell a few more cars....

My CTF Camaro has had the package added (....a few weeks ago...) and I can tell you this: it's gotten an incredible amount of attention -- to the point where I've let people sit behind the wheel for pictures or have entire families stand next to it for a picture........

To each his/her own.........

It might as well be, otherwise why limit the color to only yellow? It'd be the same with any of the other GM cars used. Sure, they're transformers editions, but people are going to refer to them by the specific names if they're limited to the colors, or similar colors of the characters. Even the beginning of the press release states that people were asking for a Bumblebee Camaro...

And because they didn't put the autobots emblem on the steering wheel, THAT is the reason I am not getting this model.

(if the emblem was there, I would be in heavy debate with myself)

is this package only available on yellow? or can it be put on any color? since its not a bumblebee package i would assume its available on any color. that is a pretty cool center console logo though.

The edition is not expensive and AT LEAST THERE IS ONE...I like it,so it doesn't transform..if some don't like this one, build a 75-77 like some people will/did...

someone could make that themselves easily for way under the price, considering it doesn't have anything special but stickers and decals.

Ditto.

There is NO doubt in my mind that if I took that car anywhere, they'd disappear.
